Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher (17681834) had a remarkable ability to inspire his contemporaries from the pulpit. This volume of the critical complete edition contains sermons delivered on 111 occasions between 1822 and 1823, 60 of them previously unknown. The result is the first comprehensive insight into Schleiermacher's most active period at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Berlin.
