Paul Ricur engaged extensively with the significance of symbols, metaphors, and narratives, drawing on phenomenological, structuralist, and psychoanalytical influences, as well as on influences from analytical philosophy, to enrich hermeneutics. This proves to be particularly beneficial for the philosophy of religion. This volume is a continuation of the studies on the concept of significance, but can also be read in itself.
