This volume completes the »Lexicon of Romance Linguistics (LRL)«, the publication of which began in 1988. Alongside the Introduction, Vol. VIII contains a list of the contents of all 8 volumes (or 12 part-volumes) and indexes of maps and illustrations, abbreviations, and the reviews of the work that have appeared so far. Further it provides an index of names, subjects, and references, plus a detailed bibliography organized in line with the sequence in which languages and language areas are dealt with by the »LRL«.
