Traditional introductions to machine elements focus on imparting a basic understanding of fundamental components that can be applied to later stages of one's studies, when a complete machine is created. This work expands upon the machine elements introduced in volumes 1 and 2, preparing the student thanks to its comprehensive approach for associated subject areas, such as industrial design and machine tool engineering.
