Supplementing the two-volume edition of Hildegard von Bingen's Physica, this book systematically assembles and provides lexicographic validation for the German vocabulary (1,038 German words) in the Physica. The Index documents Hildegard's unique contribution to expanding the scope of vernacular expression during the early phase of German language development.
