Staub gave a hundred year old debate within German civil law a memorable name and illustrated the issue with an abundance of example cases. And so in turn, he was credited with the controversial discovery of an actual or supposed loophole in the German Civil Code (BGB) and thus, according to one's perspective, was viewed as serviceman or great offender of an (im)perfect code of law.
