Empirical research methods are gaining in importance in business administration. An understanding of the methodologies used to design empirical research is essential in a wide variety of contexts, from the authoring of journal articles and conference papers to undergraduate, master, or doctoral theses. The need for methodological competence is all the more pressing when one seeks publication in leading peer reviewed journals.
