German economists contributed substantially to the practical and propagandistic preparation and conduct of the Nazi war effort. Using Germany's oldest economic research institute as an example, Gunnar Take investigates the scientific concerns of the researchers of the Third Reich, the ways they assisted the Nazi regime in conducting its economic policy and military endeavors, and their motivations for doing so.
