Until now, an extensive semantic description of communication verbs in German - in particular, speech act verbs - has been lacking. This handbook closes these gaps. The focus of the book is on German speech act verbs. Moreover, the work also includes common verba dicendi, verbs used to refer to discourse-structuring acts, modal communication verbs and medial communication verbs.
