A premature birth is a demanding situation for parents; it is an event defined by fear. Findings from this longitudinal study reveal the resources available to parents of premature babies and the demands on them, from birth to puberty. The interviews, conducted 2020 during the Corona crisis, are a historical document that record a situation that had never been seen before in Germany from the perspective of the parents of premature babies.
