Friedemann Utz examines the contributions made by the jurist Walter Strauß (1900-1976) to the legal development of the early Federal Republic of Germany against the backdrop of his personal career. Due to the diversity of the fields of law influenced by Walter Strauß, this volume is able to contribute new facts to the history of law in postwar Germany and in the first decades of the Federal Republic of Germany.
