To design digital hardware, one needs to understand hardware description languages as well as digital circuit technology and computer-based design tools. The textbook provides an introduction to designing digital circuits and systems starting from FPGA technologies and VHDL and extending to the latest innovations such as the high-level synthesis of C/C++ code for FPGAs.
