What is a documentary? But above all: How do representatives of film and art schools and cultural science institutes understand this genre? For the first time, teachers and graduates of all documentary film teaching schools in the German-speaking countries are taking positions on this question in a publication. The result is an inventory of the current discourses, which provides students with an overview and a guidance on choosing the place of study.
