Was art as a form of religion still a viable concept at the end of the 20 th century? Following two earlier volumes on the origins of the concept around 1800 and its radicalization after 1850, this third volume examines a diversity of aesthetic and religious motifs, shedding light on how art as religion was manifest at the dawn of the 21 st century.
