Pain represents a significant health problem in older individuals. This volume presents the current state of knowledge about the medical, nursing, and therapeutic treatment of pain based upon findings from the Pain and Autonomy in the Nursing Home (PAIN) research project conducted by the Berlin-based research network Autonomy Despite Multi-Morbidity in Old Age (AMA).
