This volume examines the function of Schiller's early dramas as a poetry of effect. Based on the terminology of analytic literary studies, it combines explicative-analytic and historical-hermeneutic approaches to cast light on Schiller's dramatic poetical and epistemological concepts.The study elucidates the relationship between philosophy and poetry.
