This interdisciplinary cultural historical study is devoted to the intellectual biography of the journalist and poet, Georg Greflinger (ca. 16171677), a fascinating and in many respects exemplary author of 17 th century German literature and musical history. The focus is on Greflinger's song lyrics the area in which the author achieved the greatest recognition during his own epoch and beyond.
