Klopstock's lyrical works are presented in their entirety in the text volume of this new scholarly edition. The two apparatus volumes describe the tradition of the texts and their creation, and offer evidence and commented references to the text. Variants and alternative readings are presented. Volume 2 of the apparatus contains a synoptic presentation of divergences in the rich textual tradition.
