For the first time this volume reconstructs Hegel's philosophy of history from the perspective of the philosophy of science (in a broad sense, i.e. including humanities). The volume focuses on the relationship between historiography and the philosophy of history. The analysis of this relationship provides the foundation for the reconstruction of the philosophy of history as a conceptual history of freedom.
