Hegel's philosophy of spirit unfolds and defends the thought that the human being as a whole is "spirit". Thomas Oehl actualizes this thought as it pertains to the current philosophical debate on perceptual experience. It is shown that this thought has far-reaching metaphysical implications, especially for the idea of "God".
