This book is designed for a physical chemistry course in blended learning format. It presents the classical material of a typical basic lecture (chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry), divided into 24 thematically focused teaching units, didactically prepared to achieve an understanding of basic concepts in a qualitative and quantitative way.

Sebastian Seiffert ist Professor für Physikalische Chemie an der Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Stationen: Promotion an der Clausthal University of Technology (2007), Postdoc in Harvard, Junior Wissenschaftler an dem Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (2011-2014), Associate Professor an der Freien Universität Berlin (2014-2016), 2016 Berufung in Mainz als Professor für Physikalische Chemie. Auszeichnungen u.a. Reimund Stadler Preis der GDCh.

Wolfgang Schärtl ist Privatdozent an der JGU Mainz, lehrt Physikalische Chemie für Lehramt und Pharmazie, leitet ein Praktikum und ist Autor mehrerer Lehrbücher. 2003 erhielt er den Lehrpreis der JGU.
