This study examines the reign of Eleanor of Sicily, Queen of the Crown of Aragón (13491375), her impact as consors and vice-regent of Peter IV, as well as her connections with the most important social groups. An analysis of extensive sources makes it possible to demonstrate exactly how reginal rule was exercised as an essential component of the monarchy in a government system involving many members.
