Seit ihrer frühen Kindheit las Pinar Akdag deutschsprachige Romane, Sachbücher und Klassiker sowie islamische Werke in türkischer Sprache. Dabei ging sie stets auch ihren Fragen über Gott und über die Welt nach. Stück für Stück sammelte sie Antworten und verinnerlichte diese - und hat bis heute nicht damit aufgehört, sich Fragen zu stellen und nach Wissen zu suchen. Von einer frommen, engsichtigen Muslimin entwickelte sie sich so zu einer universell orientierten Person, die von allen Kulturen lernen will.
