Diskussion, Theologie und persönlicher Glaube zu Jesus von Nazareth.

The question of Jesus of Nazareth can not be answered definitively, because Jesus is too important for the science of theology and in the same way for the Church's teaching and the personal beliefs of Christians. That is why the various contributions of the book Die Konfession Jesu asking for the relevance of Jesus of Nazareth to Christian thinking, teaching and living in the present. From the Roman Catholic and Protestant perspective different theologians of various disciplines are trying to find out, whether there are still denominational and/or specialized scientific differences regarding the historical Jesus and Jesus as the Christ of God. So they establish an interdisciplinary conversation. Exegetes present their findings colleagues of Systematic and Practical Theology, while these in return try to show, how modern Christology depends on exegetical issues. Designed for the interested reader a comprehensive picture is given of the current status of the question, it is shown, what Jesus means for theological discussion, for religious education, for the Church's life and for a personal faith basis.
