This volume takes a new, comprehensive look at Enoch's vision of the two houses (1En 14:825), which previous research has frequently interpreted as the vision of a temple and throne room. But a closer look shows that this vision is one of the most radical temple-critical texts of ancient Judaism and picks up on numerous traditional ideas while presenting them in an innovative and unusual way.
