Mareike Verena Blischke reconstructs the literary development of this work, deals with the main eschatological topics and tries to shed more light on the religious context of the Wisdom of Solomon by comparing it to the writings of Philo and the Jewish tomb inscriptions in Egypt and Palestine.

Die Eschatologie ist innerhalb der Sapientia Salomonis eines der zentralen Themen. Ausgehend von einem ersten einleitenden Teil, in dem neben der Geschichte des Diasporajudentums in Alexandria insbesondere das literarische Wachstum der Schrift berücksichtigt wird, stellt Mareike Verena Blischke in einem zweiten exegetischen Teil zentrale eschatologische Topoi in ihrem Verhältnis zueinander und zu den Entwicklungsstadien der Sapientia Salomonis dar. Dabei zieht sie Zeugnisse der Profangräzitat, des Alten Testaments und des zeitgenössischen Judentums zur Profilierung der eschatologischen Vorstellungen der Sapientia Salomonis heran. Diese Profilierung vertieft sie innerhalb eines dritten Teils, in dem sie die Schriften Philos und die jüdischen Grabinschriften aus Ägypten und Palästina untersucht und der Sapientia Salomonis vergleichend zur Seite stellt.
