Artificial intelligence is booming: new methods are being developed, visions of the future sounded out, and innovative fields of application opened up. Manifestations of artificial intelligence have also arrived in the arts both as their subject matter and as tools of creative production. This handbook examines both fields and investigates how AI methods are transforming the traditional concepts and contexts that have defined arts discourse.
