The articles focus on patristic interpretations of certain key texts, important Christian apocrypha and even iconographic witnesses.

Jesus' passion and resurrection are at the core of the Christian faith and message. The oldest witnesses to this data can be found in the New Testament. However, stories about Jesus' suffering, his crucifixion and his resurrection were retold and interpreted in manifold ways in later Christian circles as well.
