Part I of this volume contains Schleiermacher's manuscripts for his Lectures on the Life of Jesus, presented in 18191832, the transcription of a lecture manuscript, and a transcript of the course from 1832. The large audience suggests that this was one of his most successful lectures. Part II contains manuscripts of the Lecture on the History of the Passion and Resurrection (1821) and a transcript of this course.
