The Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a hereditary connective tissue disease. The clinical picture is marked by hyperelasticity of the skin, hypermobile joints, and fragility of capillaries and tissues. Since there is no specific therapy available, diagnosis and counseling are of great importance to those affected.
