Ms Eve Bates worked at the Bone's Jax Fishing Pier from 1972 to 1983 and encountered many colorful characters, some of whom were celebrities, in a variety of unusual happenings. There were robberies, a murderer, the capture of a world-record hammerhead shark, and constant contentions between the fishermen and the surfers.
