To Know We're Loved

This sequel to the bestselling autobiographical novel The Last Barrier is a moving love story and an enlightening exploration of the spiritual quest to discover the nature of reality and the true meaning of life.

After his return from the world of Turkish Sufism to his nativ England, Reshad is destined to meet people who help him in his transformation and in his understanding of the importance of breath and the real meaning of love. There is Elizabeth, the tweedy Englishwoman with sensible shoes and a wonderful laugh, who proves to be a profound teacher. There is the beautiful and enigmatic Nur, who possesses deep insights and with whom Reshad falls in love.

And there is John, who in the midst of his dying from cancer reveals to them the real nature of life. In his presence the couple experiences that continuous overflowing of love that demands nothing for itself. John shares the secret of dying consciously, totally awake to the Essence of God, with nothing left in this world to hang onto no anger, no resentment, no pride, no fear nothing but the knowledge of love itself.

And thus Reshad learns that to truly know that this body dies and that this is the only time we have, is the most powerful weapon we can ever have. With this understanding we can begin to live passionately, not wasting a moment of the precious time that is alloted to us, plunging gracefully into the immediacy of living. We work now, for the future of humanity, and as we know we are loved, time will be on our side.

This new edition containes the complete wording of the 1979 first edition restored to its original length.

Autorentext

Schließlich, packend geschildert in seinem ersten Werk.
