La réponse tells the story of the 'Congo of today: through the journey of a young lady who is unemployed and is looking for a place in her society. In her search for happiness, the author embarked the readers in the meanders of the lives of the Congolese people with their sufferings, their quests and the response each one finds.

This is a riveting story that has the advantage of being read as easily as it is written. As the French sociologist Edgar Morin, Maguy KABAMBA paints a picture of the current Congolese society, characterized by a systemic misery that is always looking for better living conditions.

This novel features a young lady, in her thirties, with good upbringing and an outstanding education, but unemployed and seeking to find her own place in society. In her own words, she says that her life is "babélique". New words as the youth know how to invent them in a society crushed by never-ending misery. In the maze of uncertainty, would she find an answer?

Her quest embarks the readers in the discovery of the Congolese people's universe, with their beliefs, traditions and customs, their bravery and their resourcefulness.
