Knowledge of biodiversity has increased in the last ten to fifteen years, as has the realization that something must be done to counteract the loss of species, population and ecosystems. In Gujarat the biodiversity of Saurashtra region, Ghogha mahal, Victoria Park reserved forest, South Gujarat, Gir forest; Velavadar National Parks, Barda Sanctuary and Jessor Sloth Bear Sanctuary were studied.
