Today, change happens at breakneck speed. Keeping on top of the evolving world of international issues and their impact on international business can be difficult. International Business: European Edition offers insights at the forefront of global thinking throughout its comprehensive yet concise overview of all the key topics involved. Current issues are covered thoroughly, including transparency and governance, multinational corporate issues, and the pro- and anti-globalisation movements and arguments. Controversies in international business, including the role of international institutions, such as the World Trade Organisation, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund are fully addressed. There is an extended discussion on areas of friction in international business, such as payment for intellectual property rights, distribution of patented medication to poor countries, and development of genetically engineered foods. This edition had been enriched with European examples throughout as well as several new European cases. It also retains the global focus and coverage with many cases and examples covering the US, China, India, and other emerging economies such as Brazil and Russia. The examples and cases give in-depth attention to the role of culture, politics and ethics, as well as social responsibility and diversity. International Business: European Edition will be essential reading for all students of International Business at both undergraduate and MBA level.
