Description

Texte du rabat

This study is meant to inspire military professionals to approach the ideal of genius. Clausewitz's military genius theory represents an intimidating, but relevant pursuit in light of today's complex and dangerous international security environment. While we all cannot become geniuses, we all can recognize the need to improve and exhibit the courage to change both our military institutions and ourselves. With a backdrop of theory across natural, synthetic and collaborative genres, the author analyzes the historic efforts of the U.S. Armed Forces to incorporate various attributes of genius. Service culture emerges as an interesting variable to approaching genius. However, as the individual services organize, train, and equip, the Joint Force Commander plans and executes warfare.
