Created accidentally in 1905 by the Army Corps of Engineers trying to divert water from the Colorado River, the Salton Sea is home to the largest number of water birds in North America. This book is for the serious birders, professional biologists, and wildlife managers who view the Salton Sea as a major and threatened stopover on the Pacific Flyway.
