The Predicament of People With Albinism in Sukumaland

Why killings of people with albinism in Tanzania are still happening despite government efforts to stop such cruelty? Preparation of this work aimed at finding reasons why stigma, discrimination and disempowerment of people with albinism are on the increase instead of being reduced. Beliefs, attitudes and perceptions which create supportive environment which favor albinos' inhuman treatment in Sukumaland are examined in this work.

I was born and lived in Sukumaland most of my past life. Being from a christian family, I did not know what it really meant to be with albinism in Sukumaland. Through preparation of this work I have seen and felt the agony People With Albinism bear in the name of culture. I urge the world to stand against this evil.
