Jamie Cooper is a poet and writer living in Portland, OR. He earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and is a recipient of a 2020 Oregon Literary Fellowship. Eric McKade's world crashed the night he broke Stacy's heart when her sister announced she was pregnant with his child. Now, thirteen years later, he must hide his daughter from the faceless stranger who wants to trade her life in for payment of his dead ex-wife's debt. What he didn't expect was to come face to face with Stacy since the night he broke her heart. Somehow, he must learn to accept that Stacy will never forgive him for his night of betrayal, nor can he forget the passion that still remains between them every time he comes near her. When Stacy first saw Eric, she wanted to kill him? She never forgave him for his night of betrayal nor could she ignore her niece who hated everything about her thanks to the lies told by her sister. She couldn't allow herself to forget what he had done, nor could she forget how her heart melted when he held her in his arms, and how good it felt to be kissed by him. Could she stay tough, even when she learned the truth of what really happened the night that destroyed everything Stacy ever wanted.
