Professional services have become important in today's globalized business scenario and are growing much faster than manufacturing and other service industries in most countries. Research on internationalization of professional services does not reflect the industry's important position in global business. This book empirically examines major differences between exporters and non-exporters of knowledge intensive & people centered professional service like engineering consultancy. This will help managers and policy makers to understand the impediments that must be overcome to encourage more professional service firms to enter foreign markets. This book also examines principal export motivations and various external support systems that may enable consultancy firms to market their services in the international arena.

Auteur

Anomitra Chakravarty is a Mechanical Engineer and MBA in Marketing. He has submitted his dissertation for PhD at Aligarh Muslim University in 2011, in a doctoral program specially designed for working managers. He has more than 13 years work experience and is Director of an industrial project consulting firm based in New Delhi, India.
