Description

Préface
A Vampire Chronicles novella from the internationally bestselling Anne Rice

Auteur
Anne Rice is the author of more than thirty internationally bestselling books including the Mayfair Witches sequence, Songs of the Seraphim and the Wolf Gift Chronicles. The phenomenon that became the Vampire Chronicles began with Interview with the Vampire in 1976, later made into a film starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, and culminated with Blood Canticle in 2003. Prince Lestat, published in 2014, and Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, published in 2016, were the first new Vampire Chronicle novels for over a decade. Anne Rice lives in California.

Texte du rabat

Set in Renaissance Italy, Rice's latest vampire tale follows the life of Vittorio who, at sixteen years old, witnesses a violent massacre at his father's Tuscan palazzo. Though he is saved from death by a mysterious woman, he is plagued by nightmares and political intrigue. Rice's previous title, "Pandora", sold over 64,000 copies in Arrow paperback and, so far, "Vittorio" has managed 25,000 in Chatto hardback.

Résumé
Against a backdrop of the wonders - both sacred and profane - of Rennaisance Italy, with it's art and ferocity, angels and demons, Anne Rice introduces a seductive new character and creates a passionate traggic legend of doomed young love and lost innocence.
