To design manufacture of caprolactam monomer used for nylon-6

It is difficult to imagine an aspect of our modern world not touched by caprolactam. These hydrophilic polymers, their co polymers with other hydrophilic monomers, and their metallic salts are utilized in many applications that include mining, water treatment, sewage treatment, boiler-water additives, super absorbent diapers, paints, detergents, industrial coatings, cosmetics, ceramics, textiles, ion-exchange resins, paper making, oil well drilling, agriculture, industrial adhesives, cements, drugs delivery, and oil production.

Mr. Dharmesh Hansora is awarded CSIR-SRF working at Dept. of Nanoscience & Technology, UICT, NMU, Jalgaon, MS, India. He is also pursuing Ph.D. in Chem. Tech. (Nanosci. & Tech.) at same Department.
