Chu Ci Communication Studies Special Topics I

Chu Ci () is the first anthology of romantic poetry by Qu Yuan and other poets in China. This book is the product of the project entitled "Research on the Cross-Cultural Dissemination of Chu Ci". It deals with the translation strategies and methods for cultural images, the translation quality, the variational translation methods, and the mutations of Qu Yuan's () image in several English translations of the classic from the perspectives of Cultural Translation Theory, Retranslation Theories, Variational Translation Theory, and Literary Imagology.

Dr. Chuanmao Tian is Professor of English at Yangtze University located in Hubei, China and Director of the Centre for Translation Studies of the university. He has published dozens of articles on translation and intercultural studies in Babel, LANS-TTS, Perspectives, Across Languages and Cultures, and so on.
