In the spring of 1915 a Gardening and Canning Competition open to girl between the ages of ten and eighteen years, living on farms in the County 01 Carleton, was inaugurated. The results of the competition in Carleton and Russell Counties for boys during the three preceding years had been such as to suggest the desirability of providing similar encouragement among the girls. The Specific objects of the scheme, together with the rules of the Contest and the prizes offered. Are submitted in the Report issued last year, and are therefore not repeated here.
