C. D. Hulen always had a dream and a hope. A dream to tell stories and a hope that they would honor his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, being dyslexic, he was unable to tell stories in the way he imagined them. At eleven, finally, C. D. could read and write at a very basic level. As time progressed, his passion for stories grew stronger and stronger until at fourteen he began writing, more than he had ever written before. 2 years later he had finished his first book, the Brethren Rise, and as he looked down the road of his future, he could not help but see the Dream of Hope was coming.

THE WORLD IS CAST INTO DARKNESS In the year 1336, the Brethren, a secret brotherhood dedicated to fighting against war and sowing peace, find themselves little more than an ill-conceived idea as everything they thought to be true is put to the test. Thirteen years after the death of his parents, Richard, one of the five leaders of the Brethren, still finds himself tormented by the murderer and the desire for revenge. Can he put aside his personal desires and accept the freedom set before him? Or will he succumb to the darkness, becoming the very thing he hates, and allow the world to collapse?
