The author has a background in the health profession. Writing has been a passion right from a young age but much of it has been in the world of health sciences. Amateur poetry and fiction writing started in the early years of secondary education but became a background activity during the years of higher education and career progression. Other interests include playing the acoustic guitar, travelling and watercolour painting.

This is a collection of love poems that focuses on the intensity and sharpness of a new love. There is the initial sharp gradient of passion. This gradually morphs into a longing and ache which characterises human relationships: coming together, a silent battle of emotional will and parting. The poems epitomise the celestial feelings of love that a human being goes through, as well as the heightened awareness of the target of love which leads to love's rose-tinted view. Each poem is able to bring the intense personal connection of love and yet give subtle hints of the inherent conflict of two hearts coming together. The collection has lyrical verse that gives an endearing quality that will melt your heart.
