All the signs were there. Gaps in my childhood memory, toxic adult relationships and addictions. I had a good job, money in the bank but I was not happy. I felt stuck and I did not know what to do to break free. Something is seriously wrong with me and I needed to know the truth. A quest for answers led me to write down the flashes that kept haunting me. When I tried to verify some details with my mother, she stone walled me. I knew there was more to it and I became determined to see this through. Turning my life around resulted in selling the house and moving overseas. The space I created allowed me to sit down and put pen to paper. While writing down deep dark repressed memories more details slowly flooded back in. I started to make sense of the retrieved information, but the answers I was looking for had presented a new challenge. I lived to tell the story. I owe them that much.
