Beschreibung

This book collects a series of important works on noncommutative harmonic analysis on homogeneous spaces and related topics. All the authors participated in the 6th Tunisian-Japanese conference "Geometric and Harmonic Analysis on homogeneous spaces and Applications" held at Djerba Island in Tunisia during the period of December 16-19, 2019. The aim of this conference and the five preceding Tunisian-Japanese meetings was to keep up with the active development of representation theory interrelated with various other mathematical fields, such as number theory, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, operator algebra, partial differential equations, and mathematical physics. The present volume is dedicated to the memory of Takaaki Nomura, who organized the series of Tunisian-Japanese conferences with great effort and enthusiasm. The book is a valuable resource for researchers and students working in various areas of analysis, geometry, and algebra in connection with representation theory.

Autorentext
Ali Baklouti is a Full Professor of Mathematics at the University of Sfax, Tunisia. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Metz (France) in 1995. He was elected as Vice-President of the University of Sfax since December 2020 and as the President of the Tunisian Mathematical Society for two consecutive terms (April 2016March 2019 and April 2019March 2022), and he has been the Deputy Director of the Mediterranean Institute of Mathematical Sciences since January 2012. He was also nominated as a member of the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts: Beit Elhikma in December 2016. He published over 80 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and proceedings, as well as many book chapters. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Tunisian Journal of Mathematics and Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics.

Hideyuki Ishi is a Full Professor of Mathematics at Osaka City University. He received his doctoral degree from Kyoto University in 2000 under the direction of Takaaki Nomura. He was a research director at JST PRESTO from 2016 to 2020. He is working on representation theory of Lie groups, analysis of several complex variables, mathematical statistics, and information geometry. He has published 38 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings. He has organized several domestic and international academic meetings and has delivered a number of invited talks.
