In The Voice's World, the second book in the Worlds of Creators quadrilogy, Colin seeks refuge in his own creations, after his confrontation with the World Voice revealed his powerlessness against the creature. Despite his hiding, Colin meets the Creator of Utopias, Dalana, and is called to join her in an effort to destroy the Voice's world. His powers are put to test when Dalana's group use his capacity to resist the World Voice's great pillar to conclude their experiments. Amidst their attempts at striking at the enemy, something changes, something unexpected and terrible, making Colin's defenses against the World Voice begin to fail. In his last efforts to put an end to that terrible world, Colin's alliance with Dalana will present him a painful impasse: to get rid of the World Voice, someone will have to die.
