With their ability to serve as cloud condensation nuclei and ice nuclei aerosols influence microphysical processes in clouds thereby potentially affecting precipitation. In this book the possible effects of aerosols on orographic precipitation are investigated with a numerical model.

Autorentext

Dr. Andreas Mühlbauer was born in Munich, Germany.He studied meteorology, graduated at the University of Innsbruckand earned his PhD in atmospheric physics from ETH Zurich.He was a visiting scientist at the NASA Goddard Space FlightCenter and a post-doc at ETH Zurich.Currently, he is a research associate at the University ofWashington.
